What People Are Saying

Lauren S

I recently attended an “Introduction to Bushcraft” experience with Northern Woodcraft, and it was an incredible adventure from start to finish. As a complete beginner who had never camped out before, I was a bit nervous, but the fantastic guides, Chris and Terry, made me feel completely at ease. Their thorough knowledge of plants, wildlife and bushcraft skills like fire lighting, foraging, and whittling was impressive, and they shared it in such an engaging and approachable way. The beautiful private woodlands where the experience took place provided the perfect backdrop for learning and exploring.

I had a brilliant day. The woodland setting is gorgeous, the drive there alone is a must have experience if you haven’t been there before. Something special about mindfully firelighting and carving wood, which makes everything better. It’s just great hanging out in the outdoors with likeminded people. Chris is an inspiring chef too, dinner alone would cost a bomb in a hotel! I would recommend staying the night and waking up to it all over again. (Toilet is just perfect for everyone’s needs too).
