Pioneer Course
Our Pioneer course is perfect for those eager to explore the outdoors and pick up valuable survival skills in a safe, supportive environment. You’ll arrive on Saturday morning and dive into a full day of skill-building, followed by a delicious, freshly cooked meal.
Here’s just a glimpse of what your 24-hour adventure will look like with us. Please note that timings may vary depending on weather conditions or other factors, but there will always be time to relax, enjoy a hot cuppa and a biscuit.

Saturday
9.00am Welcome, safety briefing and introductions.
9.45am Foraging: Edible and medicinal plants, useful & functional plants and trees.
12.30pm Lunchtime: Please bring a packed Lunch (you can cook on the fire if you wish).
1.30pm Knife Skills: Learn how to safely handle a bushcraft knife and make basic tools.
3.00pm Firelighting: Discover techniques old and new, lighting fires in a variety of traditional ways.
6.00pm Evening Meal: Sit down to a delicious meal on site prepared by our very own Chef, Chris.
Sunday
Before you depart we include freshly cooked, hearty breakfast to start your day. Chris, our chef with over 20 years experience, always delivers exceptional dishes that never disappoint. All meals are prepared fresh, using high-quality ingredients and in full compliance with local health regulations. Rest assured, you’ll enjoy delicious meals throughout your experience.
8.30am Breakfast: Local sausage and egg baps and a hearty bowl of porridge with a twist.
9.30am Depart: With new skills and a passion for the great outdoors.
